Right up till now, I still don’t get why do people believe in God.
I get many reasons when I ask around.
- “So I have someone to pray to when I’m in trouble.”
- “Because he is watching over me.”
- “Because he created us.”
- “He makes sure that evil dies.”
And so on.
I don’t want answers like that. I want concrete evidence that God exists. I want someone to tell me, that God has been seen before, physically. That’s not good enough, I want to see God, I want to see how does this God, or Gods that everyone believes in, looks like, I want him captured on tape, I want his powers captured on tape. Don’t tell me everything on every tape is God’s doing, don’t tell me every movement made by us is preset by God. Unless it can be proven with physical concrete evidence that can be seen with our eyes.
I mean seriously, all the praying you’ve done. Do they come true? Do they ALL come true? And those that come true, is it really God’s doing? Or do you recall doing something else before that causes it to come true?
Would you rather look for food, or would you rather pray for it? Would you pray for peace, or would you work toward peace? The government spends time planning things that promotes peace. Imagine how much time would they have saved and how many more plans would they have came up with if they never prayed?
“Give a man a fish, and he will survive today. Give him a religion, and he will starve to death while praying for a fish.”
Why must mysterious happenings be known as God’s doing? In the past, there are people who says that mosquitoes are mysterious because they can fly, they say it’s God’s doing. Right now, it all can be explained scientifically.
