What About Yourself Can You Be Proud of?

March 31, 2008

Been busy the past few days with work and going out. Especially work. I managed to complete my 1500 word assignment within 2 hours, though the result can be worrying.

We had our NAPFA test’s five stations on Friday, and we hit the gym after that. I know I went jogging on Saturday night with KianWei, from 2200 to about, 0045. Sunday was all about finishing up our(Ian, KianWei, Arthur, Dixon, me) homework and swimming, and then having our dinner at some coffeeshop down the road.

I don’t understand how some people can be so proud about themselves just because they are better than retards in arguments, fights, or should I just say, they feel proud about themselves for being better off than a retard. Looking at retards ignore people who despise them is just like looking at adults ignoring little kids when they get scolded by them.
If you wanna be proud of yourself, at least be intelligent, at least be knowledgeable, at least be street smart, at least be good at your natural abilities if you can’t study, at least be mature, at least be thoughtful, at least be nice, at least be strong.

Tears

Natural ability without education has more often attained to glory and virtue than education without natural ability.” – Cicero (106 BC – 43 BC)

Mondays are always tiring. This morning when I woke up, I had to reach for my phone, and the process of turning over to get it really sucked. My abs were in pain, probably due to yesterday’s workout. ):

For teachers, rejection from an entire class, no, wait, rejection from more than just an entire class, is a hard thing to swallow. But avoiding the fact, is harder. I strongly advise teachers who are facing this, to not only swallow it, but, to also ask for stuffs to chew on.

How do you know, if a ruler is straight?
How do you know, if 90 degree on the protractor, is in fact, 90 degree?
How do you know, if 15cm on your ruler, really is 15cm?
How do you know, if the spaces between the centimetres on your ruler are the same?
How do you know, if your car’s wheels are perfectly round?
How do you know, if Do Re Mi sounds like Do Re Mi?
How do you know, if hatred is not love and vice versa?
How do you know, if someone isn’t lying when he/she says so?

How Far Can We Go?

March 20, 2008

“What differences would there be in your life, if you have your problems solved?”

I think, this question which I got from class today, is powerful.
It makes you think of how much better your life would be, compared to now, IF, you take appropriate actions to solve your problems.

What differences would there be in your life, if you start studying?
What differences would there be in your life, if you stop splurging?
What differences would there be in your life, if you start exercising?
What differences would there be in your life, if you plan ahead?
What differences would there be in your life, if you let go of him/her?

I don’t know, it creates an end in mind.

This Is Your Conscience Speaking

March 18, 2008

I borrowed a book from my mom. A chinese book. I’m not lying.
It’s the old kind, in which you flip pages from left to right, and read words downward, from right to left.
And unless my mom comes home, I won’t know even the book’s title until I bother to look into the dictionary, which wouldn’t happen, for I can’t find the Chinese-English dictionary. Eheheh.
Apart from the group of us fishing and swaying from left to right on our sits in class, nothing special happened today.

I’ve a 1500 word assignment, that’s to be submitted by the 3rd of April.

Breakin’ down
I have to find a way. I need to.

Love Is The Answer

March 17, 2008

But while you’re waiting for the answer, sex raises some pretty interesting questions.

The future becomes the present
The present becomes the past
And eventually
It all becomes memory
When will the time machine
Ever be invented?

There’s no remedial today. Mr. Aw didn’t turn up, so we had to wait till 4PM, for chemistry lesson, but we ended up waiting till 4PM to leave school. But somehow, the whole class, seated at the library, decided to skip chemistry lesson. The, whole, class. I, mean, it. It isn’t the first time, it’s the second. Amazing class.

So we(KianWei, JiaWei, Ian, Dixon, me) decided to chill out at the canteen, only to spot the rest of the classmates having a mini discussion as to whether we should really skip lessons or not, and voila — we did it.

Headed down to the DNT Studio to wait for Mr. Hafiz to guide us with our portfolio and when he came, we had to leave, because he too, had to. Damn. We took a bus down to Thomson Plaza, he got his gloves, I got some photos developed for my portfolio, and that’s about all for today.

“Starting with the end in mind.” – A quote often used. Which simply means, you need to know where you want to go to, and have it as your goal, in your mind. Only then, would you work towards it.
When you say you want something, and that’s in your mind, yes, it is in your mind, so you expect it to come true. But when you want something to happen, you don’t want the opposite of it to happen, and that’s exactly what the majority like to think about, and even picture it in their minds. And the saying, “a picture says a thousand words,” is very true, so this means, whenever one of the majority has the words, “I want this to happen,” in his mind, he is reciting the opposite of what he wants to happen, a thousand times over in his mind, as well, because not only does he fear it, he pictures it in his mind.

Pretence

March 13, 2008

The Law of Attraction is how the “Like Attracts Like,” or rather, “You Reap What You Sow.”
Whatever that’s in your mind, comes to life.
So why does some things in your mind, not come to life?
Do you realize that, people often say what they do not want, instead of what they want?
So, if whatever’s in your mind, comes to life, then let’s say you don’t want your girl to leave you.
Now, when you don’t want your girl to leave you, chances are, in your mind, you are picturing your girl leaving you.
You see it? You don’t want your girl to leave you. And in your mind, is pictures of your girl leaving you. Hence, that’s gonna come true. Your girl is going to leave you. Because whatever’s in your mind, comes to life.

If that example isn’t good enough, here’s another:

You don’t want to be the slowest runner in class this year for the NAPFA test, because it has been like that for the past few years. Hence, you keep worrying. You keep thinking. You keep recalling images of yourself being the last runner to cross the line. You constantly flash images of yourself crossing that line as the last runner, in your mind.

The results? Whatever images you’ve been flashing constantly in your mind, is going to come true. Which means? You are going to cross that line, as the last runner, again.

So what’s the bottomline?
Focus only on what you want. Only think positive. No thought of what you don’t want can be positive, hence, thinking positive means thinking only of what you want.

I don’t know how hard is it to believe this concept, but anyway, just think about, if not this, then what creates the existence of what we saw, see, and will see? Besides our thoughts, what else can be the start of something?

The way that we love,
Like it’s forever.
Then live the rest of our life,
But not together.

Most Of My Life Is In The Past

March 12, 2008

I missed the last bus last night, and had to walk home because I couldn’t afford the midnight charge. Never mind if I had to walk a long distance, from about four stops after Ang Mo Kio Hub to home. Five minutes after I got off the bus, it fucking rained and I got fucking frustrated. I felt fucking helpless, and that’s when thoughts came rushing into my mind.
I thought of the past.
I thought of sailing in the rain.
I thought of playing basketball in the rain immediately after school.
I thought of using True Yoga’s flyers to shelter our heads from the rain.
I thought umbrellas.
I thought of work.
I thought of going to work under an umbrella…
I thought of..
Many things.

And now…. The Law of Attraction, again.
Everything that comes into your life. YOU ATTRACT IT.
And how you attract things into your life, follows The Law of Attraction.
Think about, how did EVERY SINGLE THING in this Universe come about? And I really mean EVERY SINGLE THING IN THE UNIVERSE.

I’ll explain.

If nobody thought about flying, would anyone have thought about aeroplanes? And if nobody thought about aeroplanes, would anyone bother to invent them?
If nobody thought about travelling fast on land, would anyone have thought about bikes and cars? And if nobody thought about bikes and cars, would anyone bother to invent them?
What I’m trying to prove here, is that, EVERY SINGLE THING that we see now, comes FROM OUR THOUGHTS.

Now, if nobody thought of how the aeroplane’s body shape could affect it’s flying against the wind and in the rain, would aeroplanes look the way they look today?
If nobody thought of how important tyres’ traction are to cars, would we have our different kinds of high quality racing tyres today?
Then again, it all comes from our thoughts. We think about it, and then we produce it.

If you didn’t have the thought of spending more than you should, would you have done so?
If you didn’t have the thought of picking a fight, would you have picked that fight?
If you didn’t have the thought of finishing up your work, would you have finished your work?

Everything, everything, EVERYTHING. Things we use, things we achieve, things we lose, it is all attracted into our lives, BY US, through our thoughts.
In other words, EVERYTHING comes from within us.

To go into further detail, in which I have done before, means to talk about the electric charges within us. The frequency of these electric charges. The magnetic force of the electric charges within us. How the Universe adapts to our thoughts. How it all has got to do with The Law of Attraction.

I can’t figure out what your thoughts were back then, as to why and how everything between us actually happened.

Things Do Not Change, We Do.

March 10, 2008

Love is not enough. It must be the foundation, the cornerstone – but not the complete structure. It is much too pliable, too yielding.

Woke up at 0859, met KianWei at 0940, met Arthur at 1020, reached Bishan Gym where Ming Quan was already at, at approximately 1100, and Dixon came about 15 minutes after us.
Left about 1245, ate at Thomson Plaza’s KFC, and swam at my house till 1430 when it started to rain again. Waited for the rain to subside, and hit Downtime(LAN Shop) to play, and headed home.
I’d be skipping the class outing tomorrow for it’ll be very rushing. I’ve night classes.
So whoever’s going out and doesn’t plan to be home late, please ask me along. ;I

To develop oneself in the body, the mind, and the soul.
To fear love, to fear life.
To fear loss, to fear gain, and vice versa.
We used to tell each other everything we love about each other.

The two day motivational camp didn’t change much of me.
But it was fun, because, it’s us.
Had breakfast at the coffeeshop opposite Bishan CC in the morning, stepped into school at 0730, and stepped out at.. I don’t know, I think it was roughly 1800. We played soccer ball at the open space on the 3rd level of J8 today, and sweat a lot till roughly 2100 and headed home.

Fun, is, today.

I’m Just Tryin’na Salvage Us.

March 6, 2008

The past few days have been seriously, a lot of, fun and laughter, peace and joy — after school hang outs.
Tomorrow and Saturday’s motivational camp, wonder if it’ll be like the Adam Khoo’s one.
Sunday’s probably a day for us to walk around Singapore aimlessly.
Monday’s gym.
Tuesday and Thursdays are night Counselling/Psychology classes.
The rest of the days aren’t planned yet, maybe one or two to work at Orchard Hotel.
