Things often work themselves out.
Things don’t always work themselves out.
Majority often wins.
Majority doesn’t always win.
People often mean what they say.
People don’t always mean what they say.
Often you think it’s what you think it is.
It isn’t always what you think it is.
The past few days has been rather fun. School was nothing but fun and laughter, with a bit of boredom to balance up things I guess. Everyday until today, we’ve been walking to J8 and slacking there after school, but today, before heading to J8, we celebrated KianWei and Jade’s birthday in the canteen.
You love your job so much you’d die for it. You’re a very efficient worker and you’re the CEO’S assistant. You’re on extremely good terms with the CEO. You and your CEO meet for 3 meals a day, on every working day. You share your problems with your CEO and vice versa. You’re so close everyone in the company says you’ll definitely be the next CEO, inclusive of yourself.
So one day, just to make yourself feel happier, you ask the CEO, “will I be the next CEO?”
And to your surprise, she says “I don’t know actually, what if I tell you I have a son and I MIGHT make him the next CEO? I hope you would stay though.”
That’s when you know you love your job so much you’d die for it but you don’t get to be the CEO, you continue committing to your job, but you just can’t decide if you should stop working there. You don’t know how high are the chances of you being able to be the CEO when she said, “WHAT IF,” and “MIGHT.”
You are so confused as to whether you should stop working there or not. While unable to decide yet, you are still working there, and you feel very lost. You feel as though the CEO has become a stranger to you, in a way, but you have to call this stranger every now and then to make reports and all.
You feel… awkward. You don’t know how to make a come back, you don’t know how to make everything right for you. Or rather…
I feel… awkward. I don’t know how to make a come back, I don’t know how to make everything right for myself. I feel, lost.
