Assumptions

October 3, 2007

Went to Junction 8 after school with Charles, Dixon and Benjamin after school.
Benjamin left around 5PM. Me, Dixon and Charles headed to the Bishan Library supposingly to study, but ended up laughing our asses off. Dixon seems to be born a clown. His born with a face to stimulate laughter, a mind with odd points of view, a mind with very high level of curiosity especially towards the reactions of people, and outcomes of doing things differently. Add all these together, and you get to see how differently you would laugh when he does stuffs curiously with odd points of view.

Maths

Mathematics today didn't really go well, but didn't go poorly as well. So I don't know. :\
For the next 5 days, I guess me, JiaWei and KianWei would spend most of our time at Mr Zaidi's house.
Hardcore DNT.

Assumptions of reactions

Look through your e-mail, look at your Friendster account's bulletin board, look at forums, look all over the internet.
You would find stuffs like, “How to know if you are in love,” “How to know if he/she loves you,” “How to react to his/her actions,” “What he/she means.”
And inside these titles/headlines, you would find stuffs like, “When she stares into your eyes, hug her and kiss her,” “When he places his arm over your shoulder, rest your head on his chest,” “When she is quiet, ask her what's wrong,” “When he is quiet, pinch him lightly and stare at him,” “When she says whatever, she is angry.”
How true are they?
I haven't done my research on this yet, and I don't intend to as I think only general knowledge is required to tell whether they are true or not.

1. Nobody can tell another person's exact reaction every single time.
2. Nobody can tell, picture, or know what another person would like to see next, in exact detail.
3. Nobody can tell what exact reactions would an action lead to.
4. Nobody can tell a person's mood exactly from his/her actions, expressions, and tone.
5. Nobody can tell what a person's actions, expressions, and tone exactly mean.
6. Nobody can tell what mood would an action or happening put a person into.
And so on…

Think of it this way: “We ourselves don't know what's gonna happen next, so we don't know how are we going to react and feel when the next thing happens. If we ourselves don't know, how can anybody else know? In other words, it's impossible for anybody to know. Nobody knows.”

Starters of such assumptions, or rather, starters of any assumptions out there, split the “assume” word into three, and you would get “ass-u-me”, which means, “Ass Out Of You And Me.” Assuming would make an ass out of you and me. Wait, it makes an ass out of you and me if I believe your assumptions. But without my belief, you make an ass out of you and only you.

Your assumption makes “ASS-U-ME” when I believe you.
Your assumption makes “ASS-U-ME” when I don't believe you.

Assumptions are made without evidences and support. Confirmations, finalisations, correct answers, accurate answers, answers, are made with evidences and support. Assumptions are illogical, nonsensical, wrong, stubborn. Assumptions make you fall back in life. Assumptions screws up your knowledge. Making assumptions is just like skipping lessons of life.

Start getting your facts right.
