The apple from CHERISH today. Not THE apple actually, just one out of the 4 apples I ate.
Kind of blur, but anyway, I think this would be Mt. Alvernia Hospital in future. That's where I first saw light.
Got this from some book titled “Singapore Architecture” in the school's library, really interesting. Go check out how would different areas of Singapore look in the future. My predictions of a “2-Storey-Singapore” has actually come true, but only in one part of Singapore for now. :\
TWITS.
The word “twit” means: an insignificant or bothersome person, or to taunt, tease, ridicule, etc., with reference to anything embarrassing; gibe at.
Both meanings seem rather similar to me. But anyway, I think the first meaning is what we agree with more. To those who don't know what do typical Singaporeans mean by “twits”, it simply means people who acts cute to attract attention, or acts cool to attract attention. But on the computer, “twit” refers to people who types like this:
“Hies, mie name ish whadeva,” or “wh47 y0u \/\/4n7″, or people with nicknames like, “ah`boiix,” or “4}{-|3o1,” and so on. I think you all pretty much have a rough idea of what I'm talking about. I've seen millions of such nicknames and typings on the IRC and MSN. You all too.
They might be an eyesore to majority of the world, but don't hate them, it's their mind that's keeping them down there.
For special cases, slow minds can be genetically inherited, but still isn't a very good excuse as nobody is born stupid. Being more exposed to problematic situations can greatly increase one's ability to understand and analyze situations, and think more maturely, thus not being looked as, as an insignificant or bothersome person.
Otherwise, twits usually are twits because of low self-esteem and lack of confidence. They don't have “themselves.” They can't be themselves. They find that they don't like being themselves, they don't like to speak, act, type like themselves. They think they suck. So they eventually have “another identity” to live with. This people's life won't get better by the day. Their lives get worser by the day as they have two or maybe even more lives to cope with everyday.
Like I said, there is never enough to go around if you keep looking on the outside of the picture. There will be infinity if you look within the picture. If you look at the outside of a person A, person A can only be person A, and will be person A until he dies. But if you look inside person A, he can have so many identities. He can be a gay, but appears to like girls on the outside. He can be very smart, but appears stupid on the outside. He can be very lousy, but appears and sounds as though he's a professional. Everything comes from within, not from without.
GOD?
God isn't a person who died some time ago, God isn't someone up or down there, God isn't a statue, God isn't watching over us, God isn't helping us, God isn't making things happen for us, God isn't creating rain, God isn't turning up the heat, God isn't lowering the temperature, God isn't making you fall down because you hit somebody yesterday. God does not exist. This might be offending, but I believe LiveJournal does not disallow the promoting of disbelieve in what the majority calls, “God.” And I also believe there is no law in Singapore stating that it's a crime to do so.
“God” is just a term used to represent our “beliefs and thoughts.”
People with similar “beliefs and thoughts” get to know of each other, relate to each other more, and thus name their “beliefs and thoughts.”
How did names of like Allah, Jesus, and the few Buddhist Gods and so on come about?
Here's how I picture it, or rather, here's my example:
Person A and Person B stupidly thinks that by throwing gold coins into the river everyday, they will become blessed by the river and would have sufficient water to live with forever. Person A and Person B then influences many more people who stupidly chooses to believe them. They then form a group and decide to name the group, “The Coin Throwers.”
From then on, a religion called “The Coin Throwers” is brought into existence. The “God” they believe in, is the river. And when all of them are getting old, they then pass down their beliefs to their following generations, all the way until now.
This example of mine can be applied to every existing religion now. Think about it.
We have to start thinking about the facts. We can't think about a glowing figurine appearing infront of us when we are on the edge of a high rise building.
We have to think about pulling ourselves back up.
If you are wondering about why ghosts, or spirits, exists, I'll express my view the next time.
Gonna eat subway. :D
